The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Thursday, after rising to a near-two-and-a-half month high in New York overnight.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.87-88 yen compared with 112.75-85 yen in New York and 112.68-69 yen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1751-1751 dollars and 132.62-63 yen against 1.1739-1749 dollars and 132.45-55 yen in New York and 1.1755-1757 dollars and 132.46-50 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
