The dollar stayed in the mid-113 yen zone in Tokyo on Monday as Japanese stocks lost ground on profit-taking of investors.

At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 113.45-47 yen compared with 113.49-59 yen in New York and 113.55-57 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday. It moved between 113.35 yen and 113.71 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1640-1641 dollars and 132.06-10 yen against 1.1660-1670 dollars and 132.35-45 yen in New York and 1.1632-1633 dollars and 132.08-12 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon.
