The U.S. dollar hovered in the upper 113 yen zone on Thursday in Tokyo as market players waited for the results of a policy meeting of the European Central Bank (ECB).

At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 113.77-78 yen with 113.68-78 yen in New York and 113.89-90 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday. It moved between 113.35 yen and 113.80 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1818-1819 dollars and 134.46-50 yen against 1.1807-1817 dollars and 134.34-44 yen in New York and 1.1760-1762 dollars and 133.94-98 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon.
