The U.S. dollar traded in the lower 114 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, marginally higher than its levels seen at the end of last week in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar traded at 114.17-19 yen compared with 114.02-12 yen at 5 p.m. in New York on Friday.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1615-1615 dollars and 132.61-62 yen against 1.1654-1664 dollars and 132.94-133.04 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in New York.

Financial markets here were closed on Friday for a national holiday.
