The U.S. dollar climbed against other major currencies on Thursday amid European Central Bank's decision to keep interest rates unchanged.

In late New York trading, the euro decreased to 1.1668 dollars from 1.1810 dollars, while the dollar bought 113.93 Japanese yen, higher than 113.72 yen in the previous session.
