2016 "ICBC Cup" Financial Creative Design Contest of National College Students has recently kicked off, which is open to all Chinese full-time junior college students, undergraduates, master candidates and doctoral candidates.

According to an official with ICBC, to encourage more college students to be engaged in financial innovation, in addition to RMB 10,000 prize for champions, ICBC will also offer opportunities to work in ICBC for excellent contestants. This year’s contest added college lecturing campaign themed “Innovation Enlightens Youth”, where previous champions would share their experience in the contest. In addition, it will invite contestants passing the first round to experience intelligent branch, enriching college students' financial practice.

According to an official of the organizing committee, the contest is open for application now. The details of application and requirements can be accessed through the official website of the contest (http://icbc.threestudio.cc) and the APP of "ICBC E campus". The appraisal committee of the contest will continue to conduct selection, review and award-granting based on principles of openness, fairness and justness. ICBC will endeavour to facilitate the conversion of excellent creative works into innovative banking products.

The first "ICBC Cup" Financial Creative Design Contest of National College Students was held in 2010. After many years' development, the contest has gradually developed into an innovative bank-college cooperation campaign with significant influence among college faculties and students. In particular, last year’s competition witnessed a significant increase in the number of participants and entries. Over 120,000 college students from over 1,000 colleges participated in or tracked the contest, contributing over 3,000 works. The contest plays an active role in promoting "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" and nurturing innovative talents.
