ICBC Becomes One of the First to Support Huawei Pay

On August 31, ICBC officially announced its support for Huawei Pay, becoming one of the first banks to support payment with home-made mobile phones. ICBC cardholders will be the first to experience the extraordinary card-free Huawei Pay services on Huawei mobile devices.

The mobile payment industry has seen rapid growth in recent years. In response to the trend of mobile payment innovation, ICBC took the lead in issuing HCE Cloud Quick Pass credit cards in 2015, and became one of the first issuing banks to support Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. By supporting Huawei Pay, ICBC will further expand the portfolio of "ICBC mobile credit cards" and provide customers with more mobile payment options. Huawei Pay adopts all-terminal solution of security chip, Token technology, fingerprinting and TEE safe runtime environment to further guarantee the user's payment security. Currently, the models supporting Huawei Pay include Huawei Mate S, Honor V8 (Net Path) and Honor 8, and more models will support Huawei pay in the near future. When used on a Huawei mobile device supporting Huawei Pay, ICBC credit card information needs to be added to the phone. Whether on locked, blank or home screen, the payment is simply available by approaching the mobile phone to the non-contact card read area of an accepted terminal and identifying the fingerprint.

In addition, Huawei Pay is entitled to multiple favorable policies offered by ICBC for ICBC mobile credit cards, including RMB 30 back for every spending worth RMB 30 and annual fee reduction. Consumers can purchase Huawei mobile products on ICBC E-commerce platform at http://mall.icbc.com.cn/, which not only guarantees the quality, but also offers interest-free installment preference up to 24 months for purchasing mobile phones.
