ICBC Brisbane Branch Opens
 

On September 21 (local time), ICBC Brisbane Branch officially opened for business in Brisbane, Australia, which is the fourth branch following Sydney Branch, Perth Branch and Melbourne Branch, and further strengthens ICBC’s service network in Australia.

Mr. Yi Huiman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ICBC, said at the opening ceremony that Queensland is an important energy & mining base and major tourism state in Australia, and also a core area of “Northern Australia Development”. ICBC will strengthen cooperation with Queensland in terms of service and conduct extensive cooperation in areas such as energy resource, agriculture, animal husbandry, infrastructure development, overseas study, tourism, and cross-board e-commerce, provide high-quality financial services to enterprises engaged in Sino-Australian economic and trade investment as well as local quality projects, enterprises and communities, and endeavor to promote economic growth of Queensland as well as Sino-Australian economic and social exchange.

Since established in 2008, ICBC’s institution in Australia has been committed to serving Sino-Australian economic and trade investment and Australian economic development. It has financed key projects invested by many going global Chinese enterprises in Australia and major Australian infrastructure projects, and provided China-related financial consulting services for many Australian customers. The Bank has actively participated in and promoted Sino-Australian economic and trade ties through high-quality financial services.
