ICBC Unveils the First Mobile Phone Credit Card Product in Macau
 

On August 17, 2016, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) Limited  unveiled with UnionPay and VISA a mobile phone credit card product in Macau, becoming the first financial institution to launch a mobile payment product in Macau.

 

Holders of credit cards issued by ICBC (Macau) can apply for the service by logging on to the ICBC (Macau) mobile banking with an NFC-enabled Android phone. Cardholders may enjoy unlimited convenience from the instant payment of mobile phone following an easy application process. Merchants can accept ICBC mobile phone credit cards without changing POS System, which has significantly elevated cashiers' efficiency.

 

The mobile phone credit card product introduced by ICBC (Macau) applies cutting-edge technologies including NFC, HCE and Token (payment token), creates a new service model with instant demands, instant response and instant solving, and fully supports offline "near-field" waving payment and online "far-field" one-click payment. In addition, ICBC (Macau) realizes real-time monitoring on each transaction and sets accumulated trading limit per day at MOP 5,000. Customers can also lower the limit per day based on consumption demand to ensure safety of fund transactions.
