ICBC’s Upgraded Personal Internet Banking Benefits over 200 Million Customers

ICBC has officially launched a new version of internet banking nationwide on September 8 to provide better and smarter e-finance services. This marks the full upgrading of “ICBC Mobile ”. Last November, ICBC integrated internet and mobile banking into a more open and comprehensive financial service platform - “ICBC Mobile”. By the end of this August, this platform has attracted 243 million customers.

According to an official with ICBC, the new version is significantly distinct from the previous one in the following aspects:

Firstly, the old version of internet banking requires login before customers enjoy financial services on the interface. In the new version, customers can browse financial services or conduct businesses without login. This fully reflects the openness of “ICBC Mobile” in business, customers and platform. Both ICBC customers and customers of other banks can access the platform to conduct businesses, providing greater convenience and coverage.

Secondly, the new version highlights intelligent and customized features. For example, the newly released “financial calendar” function is based on customer view and mining technologies of big data, which can smartly record financial businesses (including product purchase, income, expenditure, credit card repayment, etc) conducted by customers in ICBC, and deliver to customers in the form of timeline. Customers may also customize important time points (such as personal mortgage payment, credit card repayment, wealth management product expiration days) in the financial calendar, achieving smart prompt of financial services in daily life.

Thirdly, the new version focuses more on service functions such as mobile phone charge, air ticket, hotel, living and entertainment. Preferential activity are released on fixed date each week. In addition, various preferential goods are available in ICBC Mall, creating more benefits for customers in both financial services and daily life.
