ICBC (Thai) launches a deposit product with “Step Up” Savings, a 15 - month fixed deposit giving step - up interest rates at maximum of 2.50%.

            Dr.Zhigang Li, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Thai) Public Company Limited (ICBC (Thai)), said as part of its product innovation ICBC (Thai) has launched a high interest rate saving alternative for its customers by launching a “Step Up” 15 - month fixed deposit as deposit receipt giving step - up interest rates from 1.50% to a maximum of 2.50% which customers will receive interest from the first month of deposit. The interest rate from months 1 - 3 is at 1.50%, months 4 - 6 at 1.65%, months 7 - 9 at 1.75%, months 10 - 12 at 1.85% and months 13 - 15 at 2.50%. The average rate throughout the deposit term is 1.85% per annum available only for individual depositors with a minimum deposit of Baht 100,000.

            Dr.Zhigang Li further said that “at present the Bank has various types of deposit products in line with the direction of interest rate and deposit trends such as Hi - Speed Savings that gives higher interest than normal savings accounts, Gold Savings gives high interest like fixed deposits, Online Deposit gives 1.55% interest which is higher than normal savings accounts and there are many other deposit services to satisfy the needs of the deposits”.

            Moreover, the Bank has also developed comprehensive retail financial products such as debit cards, credit cards, pre - fixed remittance to China service and internet banking.
